EMDR THERAPY
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a highly effective, evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals process and resolve distressing life experiences.
At times, overwhelming or painful events—such as loss, trauma, or significant life transitions—can remain unprocessed, continuing to influence how you feel, think, and respond. EMDR works by helping the brain naturally integrate these experiences, reducing their emotional intensity and allowing for a greater sense of clarity and ease.
During sessions, you’ll be gently guided to recall aspects of a difficult experience while engaging in subtle, structured techniques such as eye movements or tapping. This process supports the brain’s innate ability to reprocess memories—similar to what occurs during REM or restorative sleep —so they no longer feel as immediate or disruptive.
EMDR is effective for a range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and persistent patterns that may feel difficult to shift. The work is collaborative, thoughtfully paced, and conducted in a confidential, supportive environment tailored to your needs.
